Widgets

I am still in the race but a few laps behind on Web 2.1 but remember the hare and the tortoise - I might catch up!

I have Vista on my home computer. It has gadgets. I have a clock, ABC news, a picture of a flower, the photos of my overseas trip, and a little notepad on my desktop at present.

The idea of tracking blogs and facebooks is appealing. I am still trying to find the time to set that up in my email account. It seems to me that these tools are all trying achieve similar things: to help us keep track of the flow of, news, blogs and social networks we have an interest in. My dilema is to determine which tools to use and where.

I am a little reluctant to download widgets from unknown sources onto my PC because of the furious red warnign signs that pop up every time I try new things. I have however browsed the widget site. I now know what is out there.
